Healthy Living Series With BRMC • Register • View Cart •

We have partnered with the Community Health department from Blue Ridge Medical Center to provide healthy living information for those of all ages.  A series of health and wellness education sessions will be offered to the community with a variety of topics for differing demographics in Nelson County.  BMRC will lead most of the classes and community partners will be guest speakers.  

These classes will be held on the X of each month unless otherwise noted.  

Support For Caregivers / Education on Aging:  Nelson Enrichment Club will provide a session for those caring for elderly family members. Community resources will be discussed along with ways for caregivers to exercise self-care and what to expect as their family members age.

Support of Expecting Mothers and Youth Moms:  Guest speakers from Healthy Families/Readykids will discuss important topics relating to child development and resources for moms.

Mental Health Resources For Teens: The BRMC behavioral Health Team will offer an informational class for parents with teens facing behavioral health challenges. 

CPR Classes: BRMC staff member will offer CPR courses for members in the community and County Employees.

Nutrition Education: BRMC staff will offer adult nutrition education courses with general nutrition guidance and materials for improved eating habits.
