Think you have the best holiday light display in Nelson County? Is your house decorated elegant, tacky, a full farm of homemade displays and inflatables, or have enough lights to highlight Nelson from a satellite? This is your opportunity to show off your property for all to see. We are looking for participants to spread throughout the entire county.
If you wish to enter your house in our first ever Nelson Holiday Light Fight, please register your house through Nelson County Parks and Recreation by November 14. Light displays must be completed by December 1. The evenings of December 1 and 2, staff members will tour the county to take pictures/videos of all entries.
All entries must provide a GPS location for their display. Addresses will be shared with the display map. No name or personal information will be included on any display advertisement.
*Business names will be included for the Business category.
Displays located in the Village of Lovingston will also automatically be entered into a separate contest for Vintage Elegance voted on by Lovingston Merchants.
A county map listing all entry addresses will be made public by December 5. Voting will take place from December 5-21. Our big winners of each category will be announced on Monday, December 22.
Prizes will include local Nelson Prize Packs.
