Join Jacob Edel, Invasive Management Specialist for Blue Ridge PRISM at the Virginia Blue Ridge Railway Trail for these FREE field trainings where you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to identify and remove invasive plants.
This program will be held throughout the year in April, July and October.
Each of these month, we will meet twice. Once for an ID day and then followed up approximately two weeks later with a Workday.
ID Day: Participants will make a short hike along the Virginia Blue Ridge Railway Trail learning to identify invasive plants. Space limited to 15 participants.
Workday: Participants will get handles on to tackle invasive plants along the trail. They will continue to learn to identify then remove the plants that threaten the health & enjoyment of this beautiful natural area. Space limited to 10 participants.
