Blue Ridge Packs and Tracks - Track Chair Tours
This joint program between Nelson County Parks and Recreation and Blue Ridge Packs and Tracks offers track chair rides through the Blue Ridge Tunnel Trail. Not sure what a Track Chair is?A track chair is an off road capable, electric wheel chair. These chairs are guided by the rider as well as a walk along volunteer who has the overall control.This program will allow a single rider the opportunity to make your way up the trail and through the tunnel along side a volunteer representing the non-profit: Blue Ridge Packs and Tracks. The rider is also able to have able-bodied guests join along as well to make the walk. These opportunities will take place on Tuesday mornings at 11am and Sunday afternoons at 1pm by appointment only.
